Danny Thomas was an aspiring actor and later became a talented movie and television show producer. He starred in movies like The Jazz Singer, The Unfinished Dance, I'll See you In My Dreams, Make Room for Daddy and many more. He helped produce shows like The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Andy Griffith Show and The Mod Squad.He may be a famous actor and producer but, he is well-known for building St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Danny Thomas built St. Jude because of a promise he made to St. Jude Thaddeus the patron saint of lost causes and because of his work, thousands of children now have a high cancer survival rate.
